About me
I’m a paediatric Occupational Therapist, educator, and the Founder and Director of Upside Down Therapy and SensoryU. With more than 15 years’ experience across special education, private practice and the NDIS, my work is grounded in sensory integration, nervous system regulation and neuro-affirming practice. At the heart of everything I do is a belief that when we better understand the child, we can better support them. I love working in the space between therapists, educators and caregivers — bringing together the people who know and support a child across their different environments. Through Upside Down Therapy, I lead a thriving paediatric allied health practice and provide external clinical supervision and mentoring to paediatric OTs. Through SensoryU, I guide therapists, clinics, schools and families in creating purposeful sensory integration gyms, sensory rooms, movement spaces and therapy environments, pairing thoughtful design and Australian made equipment with the education needed to use those spaces meaningfully. Through Kate Reeve OT & Education, I help therapists and educators understand what sits underneath a child's participation, behaviour and learning — and translate that understanding into practical support. My philosophy is to understand deeply, explain simply — taking complex clinical concepts and making them practical and accessible so the adults around a child feel confident knowing what they are seeing, why it might be happening, and how they can help. As an Ambassador for The Allied Health Hub, I’m also passionate about connection and collaboration across the allied health community. Ultimately, my work is about creating a shared understanding around the child, so they can feel understood, supported and able to thrive as themselves.
